Best part of the movie was when Chris Hemsworth violently beats up a group of children. What is wrong with me.

This is a tightly run, minimally scripted action film, with a core plot point of a mercenary who develops an attachment to the principal target. Sure, we have seen this before.

The amount of violence is very high, and the kill ratios are reminiscent more of a first person shooter than a real combat situation (the opponents always wait to fire, and patiently take head shots) but that is not in itself different from any other Western action flick. Those who remember Arnie mow down dozens in Commando without changing his clip will hardly find cause to complain.

Bangladeshi viewers who find this movie's depiction of Bangla armed forces as corruptible have a cause to feel aggrieved. But seriously, after decades of Western cops shown as bent in cinema, it is fine if the reality of other countries makes its way into fiction? And principal photography was done in Western India, a vastly different visual space. It is not meant to be a realistic depiction of Dhaka. The traffic snarls and nearly impossible road situations are spot-on for Dhaka, as well as the people who stand and gawp at the action (speaking as a South Asian. br> Chris Hemsworth keeps the emoting light and is effective in the role he essays here. Not much more was asked of him. He is believable as a man with a deathwish who wants to go out doing one last right thing. Strong international debut for Indian action star Randeep Hooda. I think he can expect more in the future. Not sure what the people asking for a plot really think they deserve, but the amount that there was - was sufficient for me.
